About
True
Accounts arose as a solution to the many inefficiencies inherent in the
prevailing "management consultant" and "bookkeeper/accountant/tax
agent"
paradigm.
The True Accounts service pack integrates unique skill sets and experience such as negotiation skills, new technology skills, business strategy and business development.
Following a career in music, Anne Plummer, the founder of True Accounts, received an MBA from the Australian Graduate School of Management (University of NSW).
Anne then joined Music Sales in Sydney as Copyright & Royalty Manager, looking after diverse catalogues of music ranging from Paul Simon, Philip Glass and Manuel de Falla, to Billy Strayhorn, Eric Bogle and hundreds of other composers. In this role Anne gained some international perspective, management experience and royalty accounting experience.
Anne moved on to be General Manager of Viscopy Ltd, Australia's copyright collecting society for visual artists, which was then being established. The responsibilities were extremely broad, including setting up and implementing the royalty collection and distribution systems and liaising with international affiliates.
Anne arrived at a career crossroad and wanted to specialise. Her previous appointments had strong legal and accounting dimensions, but Accounting won out!
Years of practical experience with a diverse range of clients followed, then a Graduate Diploma in Financial Management from the University of New England, CPA status, and a Tax Agent's Certificate.
Anne was appointed to the Board of Viscopy Ltd in August, 2007.
